Kelly previously worked as a clinical pharmacist within secondary care, obtaining experience in a wide range of specialties.
She graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2012 and since then has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at Queen’s University of Belfast. Kelly is in the process of completing her Independent Prescribing certificate.
The role of the pharmacist is ever evolving with more exciting opportunities for the clinical pharmacist in the primary care setting. Kelly saw this as a great time to become involved and feels privileged to be a part of a team who plan to implement change through innovative initiatives and make an impact to patient health outcomes.
She is interested in getting involved with some research in the future alongside clinical practice.
When not at work she likes to travel, she spent a year living and working in Australia before qualifying as a pharmacist, and since then has visited many different countries in Asia and South America.
