Map of Medicine has now been live for 2 months and has already started to have a huge impact in Sunderland. It continues to grow day by day within richer content being developed across the city.
To date we have had over 1,800 maps accessed and over 100 referral forms used from all localities in a range of 190 conditions.
We would like to direct your attention to the new Dyspepsia and SLiM’s pathways that have been developed which contain all the newest direct and open access referral forms needed to refer and all the newest guidance.
We looked at the feedback given to us by clinicians from across the city, with this information we have also developed a suspected two week wait cancer map that houses all the latest suspected cancer referral forms.
In response to feedback we have planned some additional clinician training dates on the use of Map. The dates are 9th, 12th, 17th 18th, 26th January and the sessions will run 11-12 noon, 12.30-1.30pm and 2-3pm to allow for GP attendance. A comms will be sent to the practices re this.
As always if you would like to be involved in the creation and development of these pathways or have suggestions on what you would like to see being developed in the future please email: [email protected].
